Highly recommend it

Excellent. Anyone who has ever rode the Whistler bike trails knows how great they are. Finding them, however, is not always easy. There are so many and so well hidden it could take years to find and get to know most. Especially if you are new to the area and without a guide. Unless you already know the exact location of all of Whistlers bike trails, by heart, including difficulty level, distance and elevation changes and can find them from wherever you happen to be....you need this app. GPS is accurate and the in app option to turn it off for periods to save battery is very useful. The compass overlay option greatly helps orientation. Hope they keep up with trail additions.

Eventually I discovered that there are trail descriptions buried within the review. I am revising my earlier negative review.

Would be good if the GPS feature worked while you are on the trails. It was recommended by one of the local bike shops but a papermap would have been just as good. Local trail marking needs some updating.

GPS is very accurate and tracked us the entire time on Comfortably Numb. Theres a new short trail off of there that is missing but the app kept us on track. Even in a crazy area like Lost Lake our location was accurately displayed. Couple new trails in there as well that will hopefully be in an update but being able to see where we were made it easy to decide where to go next.

Have used it multiple times on many different Whistler trails. GPS works the whole way on Comfortably Numb. So easy to find trailheads off main roads like Flank trail etc. I highly recommend if you like to search out Whistler singletrack and are not a local. Just wish it had some logging or journal options.

Purchased this app upon realizing my Whistler bike trail map was from 1996. I was amazed. Fast boot up. Easy to read. Intuitive simple functions that I was able to operate with gloves on. On first ride I was easily identifying trails and new routes with iPod playing. The GPS marker was snappy and accurate, even on my old 3G. This app exceeded my expectations. Less lost = more fun!

- not enough zoom, especially when at Lost Lake trails - double tap zoom in would be useful - arrows on trails denoting downhill trending would be most useful - less than 50% of trails have elevation trend when looking at more info: BAD please update Overall its a helpful app, it just eats up a lot of time when on trail to stop and go! But better than a map. I hope there is an update before the next time we visit Whistler. I would still recommend this app.

Definitely the best MTB trail map program around, but seems to me the updates arent coming as frequently as they were in the past. Babylon By Bike is virtually unridable at present due to overgrowth. The Squamish map also needs to be updated to reflect recent logging activity. Im only giving it 3 stars right now, but 5 stars when its updated as when its up to date its a "must have" app for both locals and visitors.

Good mapping but why limit the zoom?

Ive used this app for 2 years now and it is amazing. The only thing I personally have found wanting in the two years is updates, hence the 4 stars and not 5. Trails get built so frequently in Whis that I have ridden half a dozen this year that are not on the app and I didnt have a bike for 2 months of the season! Tough to stay on top of them all, maybe a bi-yearly update is coming? All in all it is great and I will be buying the Pemby and Squish apps as well. Thanks Trailmapps Todd

I love this app and the others in the series. I agree with other users saying it could use a few improvements: -more frequent updates -double tap to zoom -allow closer zoom -add ability to check off trails ridden Thanks for a great product!!

Great work on the app and the latest update is amazing! Now, I have access to not only all mountain bike trails in the area, but also all downhill and cross country ski trails. Nice work making this truly a must have iPhone app.

This app is amazing. It is perfectly accurate and has been very helpful in navigating our way through the mountain bike trails. I purchased a $700.00 garmin for the trip which has been useless. I would be very grateful if you would map out Fernie...

Great app, super accurate gps and good trail descriptions but when are you going to update the trails?? This app is two years behind in its maps! A bit disappointing for a 10$ app

I would recommend this app to anybody, work great and gets updated, will not find anything better.

The are a tons of trails in whistler and this app allowed us to stay on track. The GPS worked great.

This should prove useful for a 1st time traveller to Whistler, especially if the GPS works like I hope it will. Wish it could zoom in a bit further, particularly in areas where many trails converge. One major feature that would be nice, is to allow a search for trails by category. I want to start off with only Blues, and then move steadily upwards in difficulty grade - so wouldve been useful to be able to only search blue trails, then black etc. As it is now, theyre all grouped together, in alphabetical order. Not a train smash - but a category search would be awesome.

I was pretty disappointed for a $10 app, and the constant black screen (when going back to the map) is very annoying. I expect to be able to touch trails on the map to get details, not manually scroll through a list. Also the map zoom was very weak. I ended up using the free bike maps (at sports centre) along with sports tracker to map/track my ride.

Amazing app! Thank you for the wonderful work! Truly helpful for hiking and biking. Looking forward the winter to explore the ski trails.
